Meet the women driving the UAE's electronic music scene
DJANEMAG UAE follows every woman working in electronic music across the Emirates, not only the ones behind the decks. Djanes and producers, and equally the managers, dancers, photographers, videographers, hostesses, security, bartenders and floor teams who make the night happen. If you work in this scene here, you belong on this page.
Djanes & Crew
These are the artists and the crew we cover. Djanes behind the decks, and the women who make the night happen with them: talent managers, dancers, photographers, videographers, hostesses, security, bartenders and floor teams.
This section is free. It is not paid advertising and no one buys a place on it. The point is simple: to give your work the visibility it has earned.

DJaneMag UAE
DJaneMag UAE is the United Arab Emirates chapter of DJane Mag, the international platform dedicated to women in electronic music. It is not limited to female DJs: it covers every woman working in the country’s electronic music ecosystem, from artists and producers to talent managers, dancers, photographers, videographers, hostesses, security, bartenders and floor teams. Based in Dubai, it was established to bring greater visibility, representation and opportunity to the women shaping the country’s electronic music culture. Through editorial storytelling, community and industry initiatives, the platform celebrates their talent while creating space for their careers, perspectives and ambitions to be recognised.
Its foundation reflects a significant gap within the regional landscape. Across the UAE and the wider Middle East, women DJs are building distinctive careers and contributing to an increasingly influential music scene. Yet there is still no consolidated research into how many are active, how frequently they are booked, what they are paid or whether opportunities are distributed equitably. Without visibility and reliable data, progress remains difficult to measure and inequality difficult to challenge.
Beginning in the UAE, the platform’s long-term vision extends across the Middle East. By connecting artists, producers, venues, promoters, brands and audiences, DJaneMag UAE is helping shape a more visible, informed and equitable future for women in electronic music, one in which their presence is not treated as an exception, but recognised as an essential part of the culture.
